The Brown River is a river in the east of the Australian state of Queensland .
geography
River course
The river arises in the eastern Carnarvon Range , west of Expedition National Park from Arcadia Creek and Spring Creek . It flows north-northwest into Lake Nuga Nuga . It leaves the lake again at its north-west end and borders the subsequent Nuga-Nuga National Park in the west. From there it continues its course to the north-northeast and forms the Comet River together with the Clematis Creek north of the settlement of Purbrook .
