The Brumaire class was a submarine - class of the French Navy in the First World War .

Between 1911 and 1913, 16 two-hulled boats of the class were built. During the World War three units were lost to enemy action: One boat was lost off the Turkish coast, two more in the Adriatic . A boat was captured by the Austrian Navy and used successfully until the end of the war. Most of the boats that survived the war were scrapped in the early 1920s. The last boat in the class was scrapped in 1930.
