The Brunnifirn (also Brunnigletscher ) is a glacier in the Swiss Alps . It is located in the Oberalpstock area in the municipality of Silenen ( Canton Uri ), near the border with the Canton of Graubünden . It has an area of ​​about 2.94 km² and a length of 3.05 km. Between the beginning of records in 1882 and 2003, the glacier retreated 1138 meters. During this time the glacier only advanced in five years, the last times between 1977/78 and 1972/73.

A hiking trail marked in summer leads over the Brunnifirn, which leads from Disentis to the Cavardirashütte SAC . The Brunnifirn drains into the Brunnital and finally via Maderanertal to the Reuss .
