Bruno Hirschberg

Bruno Hirschberg (born March 18, 1899 in Boizenburg / Elbe ; † May 12, 1976 in Rostock) was a CDU politician in the GDR .

Life

Bruno Hirschberg attended the boys' school in Boizenburg from 1908 to 1912. After graduating from the upper secondary school in 1915, he completed an apprenticeship in banking. After a time as a bank clerk in Gdansk and Munich, he joined his father's business in 1924, which he took over entirely in 1927. In 1937, Hirschberg became a foreign exchange clerk at the Boizenburg panel plant. In 1939 he was called up for military service.

Bruno Hirschberg joined the CDU in February 1946 and one month later became local party secretary. After the local elections, he took over a paid position as a city councilor, and from May 1947 the district council elected him deputy district administrator for the Hagenow district .

From 1948 to 1952 he was a member of the Mecklenburg State Parliament . From 1950 to 1952 he was State Minister for Labor and Health. He was then deputy chairman of the Rostock District Council until 1961 .

The CDU of the Rostock district made him an honorary member of the district board in 1972.
