Bruno J. Sobotka

Bruno J. Sobotka (* 1944 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German preservationist and author .

Life

Sobotka first completed an apprenticeship as a banker . He became the representative of the Presidium of the German Castle Association (DBV) and was a council member of Europa Nostra . Sobotka is active in monument protection and has published several books (including the multi-volume series: “Castles, Palaces, Manor Houses”) on the subjects of history, architecture and art history. In 1987 he received the commemorative medal of the International Castle Institute for his services.

Sobotka is a volunteer hospice helper . He is married and has a daughter.
