Bruno Maurenbrecher (born September 6, 1897 in Krefeld ; † June 30, 1984 there ) was a German entrepreneur, politician and member of the state parliament ( ZENTRUM , CDU ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school and grammar school , Maurenbrecher participated in the war from 1916 to 1918 and was a prisoner until 1919. He was a guest auditor in economic and legal lectures at the University of Cologne. Maurenbrecher worked in his parents' business and was chairman of the Krefeld Chamber of Commerce and Industry . He was also a commercial judge at the regional court in Krefeld .

Before 1933 he was an honorary secretary in the trade and industry advisory board of the Krefeld Center Party. In 1945 he became a member of the CDU.

Maurenbrecher was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from April 20, 1947 to June 17, 1950 . He was directly elected in constituency 036 Krefeld-Nord. From 1946 to 1950 he was a member of the city ​​council of Krefeld and from 1961 to 1970 in the council of the municipality of Hüls .

In 1968 Bruno Maurenbrecher was appointed Knight of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem by Cardinal Grand Master Eugène Cardinal Tisserant and invested in the Papal Order of Knights in Rome on May 3, 1967 .
