The Brunswick Lake is a lake in Algoma District in the Canadian province of Ontario .
The lake is located in Missinaibi Provincial Park 60 km south of Mattice . The body of water lies at an altitude of 278 m in the area of the Canadian Shield . Brunswick Lake has a north-south extension of 23 km and an area of about 40 km². The Brunswick River , a left tributary of the Missinaibi River , drains the lake at its northern end.
In 1789, a trading post was set up on the lakeshore , which at the time was an integral part of the fur trade routes between James Bay and Lake Superior .
Brunswick Lake is a destination for fishing tourists who catch pike , eyeglasses , herring whitefish and American perch .
