Bryant Jennings (born September 25, 1984 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) is an American heavyweight boxer.
Boxing career
As an amateur, Jennings won 13 of 17 fights. His biggest achievement was second place at the National Golden Gloves 2009. He made his professional debut in February 2010.
On January 21, 2012 Jennings defeated the undefeated Maurice Byarm (13-0) in the battle for the vacant championship of Pennsylvania . After a subsequent early win against Sjarhej Lyachowitsch (25-4), he also won the US American Championship of the USBA on June 16, 2012 by beating Steve Collins (25-1) on points.
This was followed by victories against Chris Koval (25-9), Bowie Tupou (22-2), Andrei Fedossow (24-2), Artur Szpilka (16-0) and Mike Perez (20-0), making him a World Cup -Fight against Wladimir Klitschko qualified. However, he lost this fight on April 25, 2015 at Madison Square Garden unanimously on points. Eight months later, he also lost prematurely to Luis Ortiz .
