Bubenhausen (Bad Berleburg)

Bubenhausen is a submerged village in what is now Bad Berleburg in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district in North Rhine-Westphalia . Bubenhausen belonged to the parish of Elsoff .

location

The place was four kilometers west of Alertshausen in the immediate vicinity of Christianseck on the hill Große Bubenbracht ( 643  m ).

history

In 1395 Gerlach von Diedenshausen sold his entire share in the village to Brosken von Viermünden . Geographical names are to be sought in connection with the noble landlord Buobo von Elsoff . The name Buobo appears under Bubenberg, Bubenkirchenbach or Biebighausen . In 1591 the place is mentioned in a boundary difference between Hesse and Wittgenstein, as well as in a boundary description of the Bailiwick of Elsoff from 1610.
