The Buchenberg is a mountain in the Ammergau Alps . It reaches 1142 m above sea level. NHN .
summit
The summit is accessible from the north with a chair lift. Furthermore, the summit can be reached easily via hiking trails and forest roads. There is also an inn on the summit next to the Buchenbergbahn mountain station.
Paragliding on the Buchenberg
The main launch site is right next to the mountain station in the north direction. Another take-off point is located northwest of the Buchenberg-Alm in the north-west direction. The landing site is 650 m from the valley station, on the other side of federal road 17 .
The largest local paragliding association is the Ostallgäuer Gleitschirmflieger eV , whose website has a question-and-answer page for both guest and non-flyers.
