The Buchsee is a lake in the municipality of Wustrow in the Mecklenburg Lake District . The lake in Neustrelitz Kleinseenland has a north-south extension of about 230 meters and a west-east extension of about 490 meters. It borders on the Canower Heide forest to the south and west . The north bank has only a narrow strip of forest. The southern shore of the lake is very steep and culminates in the Buchseeberg at 90.8 m above sea level. NHN . To the west of the lake is the Trünnensee and north of the Kleiner See , to which it has no above-ground connection. Federal highway 122 runs a little north of the lake
