Bud Taylor

Bud Taylor (actually Charles Bernard Taylor * 22. July 1903 in New Orleans , † 6. March 1962 ) was an American boxer in the bantamweight .

Professional career

In 1920 he started his career successfully. On June 24, 1927, he boxed against Tony Canzoneri for both the universal and the NBA World Championship and won by unanimous decision. He held these two titles until May of the following year.

In 1931 the "Blonde Terror of Terre Haute" ended his career after 71 wins (37 by knockout) and 22 (4) defeats.

In 2005 he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame .
