The Budapest Symphony Orchestra is a Hungarian orchestra and belongs to the Hungarian radio and television station ( Magyar Televízió & Magyar Rádió ).

history

The Budapest Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1943 by the conductor Ernst von Dohnányi . The orchestra has given numerous international concerts and has worked with renowned conductors, soloists and composers, including János Ferencsik , Otto Klemperer , Carlo Zecchi , Claudio Abbado , Georg Solti , Béla Drahos , Johanna Beisteiner and Robert Gulya . The Budapest Symphony Orchestra's recordings have appeared with Naxos and Gramy , among others .
