Budge Wilson

Budge Wilson CM , ONS (born May 2, 1927 in Halifax ) is a Canadian writer.

Life

She was born and raised in Halifax , Nova Scotia . She studied philosophy and psychology at Dalhousie University and then pursued further studies in literature at the University of Toronto . She then spent many years in Ontario , but returned in 1989 and has lived in a fishing village on the south coast of the province of Nova Scotia ever since. Since her first book, published in 1984, she has written 33 children's books and received more than 25 awards for her work.

Her last work is the prehistory " Before Green Grables ", an anniversary edition for the centenary of the Anne on Green Gables series.
