The Buffalo Bandits are a team of the North American National Lacrosse League (NLL) and are based in Buffalo , New York . The team was founded in 1992 and played in the Major Indoor Lacrosse League (MILL) until 1997 before it was converted to the NLL.
successes
In their very first season, the Bandits were able to win the championship of the MILL and were the first team to achieve this feat. The following season they repeated their success and won the championship again in 1996. It wasn't until 1999 that they missed the playoffs for the first time . In addition to their three championship titles, they were in the final four more times.
In 2006 they celebrated great success when they finished the regular season in first place in the East Division and hosted the final of the Champion's Cup , where they met the Colorado Mammoth . The final, however, was lost 9-16 and Colorado took the trophy home.
