The nature reserve Buhnenwerder-Wusterau is located in the area of ​​the independent city of Brandenburg an der Havel in Brandenburg .

The area with the identification number 1478 was placed under nature protection by ordinance of December 16, 2002 . The 192- hectare nature reserve, which includes the 32-hectare island of Buhnenwerder and the 63.4-hectare Wusterau peninsula , extends northeast of the Kirchmöser-Ost housing estate in the 640-hectare Plauer See , through which the Havel flows.
