The Bukkigau ( and. Bukki "Beech") was a medieval Saxon Gaugrafschaft and lay mainly in what is now the district of Schaumburg , in Lower Saxony.

It included the present-day places Minden , Stadthagen , Bückeburg , Bad Nenndorf . It was delimited from the Wiehengebirge , Deister and Süntel . He was surrounded by the districts of Osterburg , Tilithi , Marstem , Dervegau and Lidbekegau . At the time of the Saxons , Apelern was a court and place of things .
