The Bullowsee is located in the Mecklenburg Lake District about 2.5 kilometers southeast of Roggentin and southwest of Neustrelitz in the south of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It is located in the municipality of Userin . The area of the lake is difficult to determine because the shoreline in the west merges smoothly into a moor area. The open water surface is around 800 meters long and up to 400 meters wide. With the surrounding wetland the area is 0.664 km².
It is located in the forest area of the Zwenzower Tannen and in the Müritz National Park .
