Roggentin is a district of the town of Mirow in the Mecklenburg Lake District in southern Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

geography

The area of ​​Roggentins lies on and partly in the Müritz National Park . The upper Havel flows through the neighboring districts of Babke and Blankenförde and connects several lakes here. The Jäthensee , the Zotzensee , the Rote See and the Krumme See are some of the numerous lakes that surround Roggentin.

The districts Babke, Blankenförde, Leussow , the residential area Kakeldütt , Qualzow , Roggentin and Schillersdorf belonged to the community of Roggentin .

history

Roggentin was first mentioned in a document in 1301. The name is derived from the Slavic locator of the place; Place of the rokęta or ruchęta . On May 25, 2014 Roggentin was incorporated into Mirow.

A connecting road from Mirow to Neustrelitz , which runs parallel to the somewhat more southerly running federal highway 198 , leads through the local area of ​​Roggentins. The next train stop is in Mirow ( Neustrelitz – Mirow ). Another nearby train station is in Leussow (Neustrelitz-Mirow).
