Blankenförde is a district of the town of Mirow in the south of the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
Geography and transport links
Blankenförde is located northeast of the core town of Mirow on the K 2 district road and is separated from the neighboring district of Kakeldütt by the Havel . West of the town, the extends Jäthensee the southwest Jamelsee and east of Görtowsee .
history
Blankenförde was first mentioned in 1256 as Blankenfort . At that time Blankenförde was owned by the Dargun Monastery until it was donated to the Mirow Commandery in 1359 . After the secularization of the commandery, Blankenförde belonged to the Mirow office.
Until 2014, Blankenförde belonged to the municipality of Roggentin , but this and its districts were incorporated into Mirow.

- Half-timbered church with tower from 1702
- Manor house, built around 1890 as a farmhouse and converted into a manor house around 1925 with dormers and turrets and 200 hectares of land. Today it is used for residential purposes.
