Blankenförde-Kakeldütt village church
The Evangelical village church Blankenförde-Kakeldütt is a half-timbered church in Blankenförde - Kakeldütt (town of Mirow ) in the Mecklenburg Lake District in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
Building history
In 1702 a new half-timbered church was built after the old church of St. Nicolai burned down in the Thirty Years' War . The church tower measures 27 meters, is made entirely of wood and is covered with slate. There is a bell in the tower. The church does not have an organ.
Furnishing
There is a portal made of oak on the south wall of the church . The altar is in the Flemish Baroque style and, like the pulpit, is white and gold. Next to the altar is an oil painting, which was originally intended to adorn another altar. The names of the donors can be seen in the painted window panes, on the baptismal font and on the sacrament dishes. The patronage box is opposite the pulpit. Simple box chairs from around 1702 serve as seating.
local community
