Roggentin Chapel

The Protestant Chapel Roggentin is a church building in Roggentin , a district of Mirow in the Mecklenburg Lake District ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ).

Building history

The modern and simple Roggentin Chapel was built in the 1960s as the successor to a half-timbered church. On the front there are five double-leaf windows, which consist of four by five panes that are connected by webs . They are partially damaged by vandalism .

In the 2010s the chapel was newly plastered and insulated. It can be heated using night storage heaters .

Furnishing

The simple furnishings date from the 20th century except for the harmonium , which is said to come from the previous church. The altar barriers of the previous church are in the Schillersdorf church .

A simple table with two candlesticks and a metal cross serves as the altar , with a simple desk on the left and a baptismal stand on the right. The church has a small sacristy in front of the prayer room .

Glass panes from the end of the 17th century have been preserved from the previous church, but are no longer available on site. They are under monument protection.
