Christian Kalainski (born April 1, 1961 ) is a former German soccer player. In the 1982/83 season he played for Chemie Bohlen in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football .

Athletic career

Until 1979 Christian Kalainski played in the junior team of the company sports association (BSG) Stahl Eisenhüttenstadt . For the 1979/80 season he was included as a midfielder in the squad of the first men's team, which was represented in the second-rate GDR league . With his 19 appearances in the 22 league games and three goals scored, Kalainski immediately played his way into the team. In the summer of 1980 he moved to league competitor BSG Chemie PCK Schwedt . He was there for two seasons and also became a regular player in the new team with his 36 GDR league games and seven goals. For the 1982/83 season Kalainski appeared as a new addition to the Oberligisten Chemie Böhlen. He managed the jump into the top league without any problems, he was used in the league games from the start. By the end of the season he played 23 games as a midfielder and scored his only top division goal in the 11th matchday between Chemie Böhlen and Wismut Aue (4-0). When Chemie Böhlen had to relegate after the season, Kalainski returned to Chemie PCK Schwedt, where he completed 20 GDR league games in 1983/84 and was the team's top scorer with nine goals. Since from the 1984/85 season the GDR league was only played with two instead of five seasons, Bohlen had to relegate to the district league despite a 7th place. Kalainski remained loyal to the BSG, helped her to the district championship in 1987, but did not return to the higher-class game operation. His record after six years: 23 league games with one goal, 75 games in the GDR league with 20 goals. After his career as an active footballer, Kalainski coached lower-class clubs, including in Schwedt / Oder , Marienwerder , Angermünde and Eberswalde .
