Buloqboshi ( Russian Булакбаши Bulakbaschi ) is an urban-type settlement (shaharcha) in the Uzbek province of Andijon in the Ferghana Valley and the capital of the district of the same name .
The place is about 20 km southeast of the provincial capital Andijon . The Shahrixonsoy flows past to the north of the village , and the Southern Ferghana Canal to the south .
According to the population census in 1989, the place had 8,100 inhabitants, according to a calculation for 2000, the population was 18,900. In 2009 Buloqboshi received urban-type settlement status.
