Coordinates: 33 ° 19 ′  S , 115 ° 38 ′  E The City of Bunbury is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . The area is 66 km² and has about 32,000 inhabitants (2016).

Bunbury is located in the southwest of the state on the Australian west coast about 155 kilometers south of the capital Perth . The LGA covers around half of the entire port city of Bunbury , where around 71,000 people live (2016).

The Bunbury Council has 13 members. The 12 Councilor and the Mayor (officially "His Worship the Mayor") and Chairs of the Council are elected by all residents of the LGA. Bunbury is not divided into districts.
