The federal training center for undertakers ( Theo Remmertz Academy ) in Münnerstadt with the only teaching cemetery is an institution of the Bundesverband Deutscher Bestatter e. V.
history
On July 8, 1994, the world's only teaching cemetery for undertaker training was opened in Münnerstadt . On July 10, 1998, a seminar building was attached to the teaching cemetery. In 2002 the area of the teaching cemetery was significantly expanded. Further expansion measures took place in 2007. Training courses on digging technology and accident prevention are held at the educational cemetery by the horticultural trade association.
The federal training center for undertakers, the Theo Remmertz Academy, was handed over on February 25, 2005 and is a unique facility in Europe. The construction of the training center had become necessary due to the creation of the funeral specialist training profession , which the legislature created in 2003.
purpose
Every year around 200 apprentices complete the inter-company training (ÜLU) as a funeral specialist . In three courses during the three-year training period, the training areas of grave technology, goods and materials, laying out and decoration, hygienic care for the dead , counseling and grief psychology are taught .
Undertakers can complete the advanced training to become a certified undertaker, an undertaker, a certified cremation technician , a certified cremation assistant, a certified cemetery service customer advisor, an office communications specialist for the funeral industry, an undertaker in emergencies or a certified thanatopractor in the federal training center for undertakers . Additional seminars are also offered on industry-specific topics.
In the federal training center for undertakers, journeyman's exams for funeral directors and advanced training exams for certified undertaker, undertaker master, certified cremation technician, certified customer advisor, cemetery service, office communications specialist for the funeral home and emergency undertaker take place on behalf of the Chamber of Crafts in Lower Franconia and Düsseldorf.
