Burgães is a place and a former municipality ( freguesia ) in northern Portugal .

Burgães belongs to the Santo Tirso County in the Porto District . The community had an area of ​​6.7 km² and 2115 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).

On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Burgães, Santo Tirso , Couto (Santa Cristina) and Couto (São Miguel) were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Santo Tirso, Couto (Santa Cristina e São Miguel) e Burgães .
