The castle Blankenhorn is a Outbound Spur castle above the Ermstal to 650 m above sea level. NN opposite the Burg Baldeck castle and south of the Hohenwittlingen castle ruins near the town of Bad Urach in the Reutlingen district in Baden-Württemberg .
The spur castle was probably built in the 12th century by the Lords of Blankenhorn, whose membership of the local nobility is unclear. The state of Baden-Württemberg is named as the former owner.
From the former small castle with a shield wall , only the neck ditch and small remains of the masonry in a rubble mound are preserved.
