The ruin of Brunkenstein Castle is an outer bailey of Dhaun Castle in Hochstetten-Dhaun , Bad Kreuznach district in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The castle was built during the "Dhauner Feud" (1337-1342) in a dispute between Archbishop Balduin of Trier and the wild count Johann von Dhaun and in 1411 it was razed again . Get yourself that has ruined the round, split today residential tower or the keep .
