Kirchzarten Castle

The Kirchzarten Castle is an abandoned Niederungsburg (probably a moated castle ) about 500 meters northwest of the Talvogtei , a former moated castle and today's town hall, in the "Hagenmatten" area northwest of the municipality of Kirchzarten in the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district in Baden-Württemberg .

The history of the castle is completely unknown, nothing of the former castle complex has been preserved. Today it can only be seen in the aerial photograph. Another similar castle site is located about 500 meters northwest in the Hochstauden corridor, see Kirchzarten Castle (Hochstauden) .
