The Burgrest Leupolz is the remainder of a hilltop castle at 630 m above sea level. NHN near the Leupolzbauhof district of the city of Wangen im Allgäu in the Ravensburg district in Baden-Württemberg .
The castle, built before 1229 by the Lords of Leupolz, Ministeriale of St. Gallen Monastery , was mentioned in 1229, destroyed in 1389, rebuilt from 1455 and burned down on June 24, 1624 by a lightning strike. The foundation walls of the former castle complex with a rectangular tower, circular wall and two buildings are still preserved.
