Ambros Waibel

Ambros Waibel (* 1968 in Munich ) is a German writer and journalist .

Waibel studied German and Italian in Munich , Marburg and Venice . He worked as an assistant director and director on various German stages . In 1996 he was one of the founders of the Marburg cultural center Waggonhalle.

Waibel has been an editor in the opinion department of the daily newspaper taz since 2008 . His main focus there is society, culture and the media, but can also be found on the cultural pages of the left-wing daily Junge Welt . Waibel, who also works as a translator , has lived in Berlin for 18 years . He has two sons and a daughter.

Ambros Waibel is the author of narrative works and a biography of Jörg Fauser . In 2002 he received a working grant from the Berlin Senate Administration for Science, Research and Culture .
