Neuveringen Castle

The castle Neuveringen even New Veringen or Niederveringen called, is an Outbound Spur castle at Vöhringer farm on a mountain ridge above the Danube 1500 meters northeast of the city Riedlingen in the district of Biberach in Baden-Württemberg .

The castle was built shortly before 1270 by the Counts of Veringen , and before 1300 came into the possession of the Habsburgs , who gave them as pledge to the Lords of Hornstein . In 1514 the castle was called Burgstall, i.e. a non-habitable castle.

Nothing has been preserved from the former castle complex, the site was completely removed by gravel mining.
