The castle ruin is an island-like nunatak in the Concord Mountains of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located on the northeastern edge of the Greenwell Glacier in the southwestern part of the Everett Range .
Scientists from the German expedition GANOVEX I (1979–1980) gave it a descriptive name.
