IC 1874 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 / a in the constellation Perseus in the northern sky . It is an estimated 228 million light-years away from the Milky Way and about 65,000 light-years across.

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on January 18, 1898 .
