IC 1869 is a lens-shaped galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Whale south of the celestial equator . It is an estimated 329 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a disk diameter of about 60,000 light years.
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on December 14, 1903 .
