IC 1866 is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E / S0 in the constellation Eridanus in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 400 million light years from the Milky Way and about 130,000 light years across.
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 1150 , NGC 1151 , NGC 1157 , IC 276 .

The object was discovered on January 31, 1900 by Herbert Alonzo Howe .
