IC 1855 is a compact galaxy of Hubble type C in the constellation Aries north of the ecliptic . It is an estimated 387 million light years from the Milky Way and about 35,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 1111 , NGC 1112 , NGC 1115 , IC 1846 .
The object was discovered on January 7, 1896 by Stéphane Javelle .
