The Postal Hinwil is an Outbound hilltop castle in the municipality Hinwil in the Canton of Zurich in Switzerland .
history
The castle was 618 m above sea level. M. Höhe north-east of the Reformed village church a little above the road to Wernetshausen . The castle was built on a small, elongated hill ten meters high, which slopes steeply to the Wildbachtobel on the northern side.
In 1321 the castle was owned by the barons of Hinwil. It was canceled in the 15th century.
There are no traces of the wall from the former castle. A moat, still visible today, cuts through the castle hill. The field name Burgbüel refers to the complex. It stands on private property and is not open to the public.
