The Burgstall is first mentioned in 1195 with Ernst de Inne . It is said to have been the first seat of the Innerseer . In 1286 Hans der Innerseer was named. The owners were servants of the Hochstift Passau until 1329 . The last Innerseer was Max Hektor and lived around 1640. The Innerseer's burial place is in the municipality of Rottenbach (Upper Austria) .
