Burkartshaus is a hamlet in the Thurgau municipality of Egnach in Switzerland . It lies between the hamlets of Brunnenhalden, Stocken, Adlishaus and Burkartsulishaus and comprises seven residential buildings.
history
Until the 16th century, Trüttigshaus , as Burkartshaus was called until the middle of the 18th century, was known as a court. In 1634 it had 30 residents, including a feudal family , servants and maids. In the 18th century a doctor also lived in Burkartshaus.
Burkartshaus is still an agricultural hamlet with around 25 inhabitants.
