Burkhard Detzler

Burkhard Detzler (* 1961 in Saarlouis ) is a German architect , artist and university professor at the Saar College of Fine Arts .

Life

Detzler studied architecture from 1981 to 1986 at the Trier University of Applied Sciences and from 1988 to 1990 architecture and computer graphics at the Department of Art, Architecture and Planning at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio under Stanford Anderson and Peter Eisenmann . In 1990 and 1991 he was project manager in the architectural office Schmitt, Kasimir und Partner and from 1991 to 1994 head of the design and computer department in the office Kühnl + Schmidt .

In 1993 he was given a teaching position at the State University of Design in Karlsruhe , where he became a scientific and artistic employee in 1994. Since 1997 he has been professor for digital media at HBK Saar. He has also been working as a freelance architect and media designer since 1993 .
