Peter Eisenmann

Peter Eisenmann (* 1943 in Bamberg ) is a German political scientist and journalist . He is honorary professor for political science at the Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg .

Life

Eisenmann studied history , English and political science at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and the Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg . After the state examination in 1971 for the higher teaching post he was awarded the dissertation The Politics of the Social Democratic Party of Germany under the leadership of Dr. Kurt Schumacher and their assessment from the point of view of the English press (1945–1952) for Dr. phil. PhD. From 1975 to 1980 he was a research assistant at the University of Bayreuth . From 1980 to 1983 he was a lecturer in political science at the Otto Friedrich University in Bamberg . In 1984 he completed his habilitation at the University of Augsburg .

From 1985 to 1993 he was head of the Academy for Politics and Current Affairs of the CSU-affiliated Hanns Seidel Foundation and editor-in-chief of the journal Political Studies . During the same period he was also a professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Würzburg-Schweinfurt and, from 1993, at the Federal Academy for Security Policy . 1986 also became honorary professor at the University of Bamberg.
