Burkhard Weber (journalist)

Burkhard Weber (born June 5, 1956 in Dortmund ; † January 2020 in Hamburg ) was a German sports presenter.

Life

Weber began his journalistic career as a trainee in Luxembourg at RTL . He later became deputy head of sports. From May 1992 he took over the management of this department. As a presenter, he presented the program Anpfiff and Anpfiff extra . Further stations in his professional career then led him as managing director to Probono Fernsehproduktion GmbH and LYNX and friends GmbH. Since June 6, 2011 he has been the sports director of the pay TV channel Sky Germany . In June 2019 Weber became a consultant for Universum Box-Promotion .

Weber died in Hamburg in January 2020 after a serious illness at the age of 64 .
