Swantus Max Eberhard Burkhard von Bonin , (born October 14, 1879 in Halle , † December 31, 1947 in Northeim ) was a German lawyer and author.

Life

origin

Burkhard was a member of the Pomeranian noble family von Bonin . His parents were the chief accountant Dr. jur. Bernd von Bonin (1848–1892) and Berta von Briesen (1850–1921).

Career

Bonin studied 1902 law , 1905 was already Dr. jur. and court trainee. He was a lawyer and notary as well as president of the Potsdam Bar Association . In 1926 he was consistorial advisor a. W. and board member in Rehbrücke . Bonin was an honorary knight of the Order of St. John .

family

Bonin married Valeska Ubbelohde (1884–1943) in Berlin in 1911. The marriage produced a daughter and a son, both of whom also became lawyers.
