Burlington , also known as Mount Olive is known, an unincorporated community in Elmore County in the state of Alabama in the United States .

Burlington is located in eastern Alabama in the southern United States. It is located about 11 kilometers south of the 18,000 hectare large Lake Martin .

Nearby places include Tallassee (immediately adjacent to the south), Eclectic (8 km northwest), Tuskegee (17 km southeast), Franklin (17 km southeast) and Notasulga (22 km east). The next larger city with 205,000 inhabitants is the capital of Alabama, Montgomery, about 29 kilometers southwest .

According to presumptions, an East American city served as a model for the naming. A post office was opened in 1841.
