Burt Sugarman

Burton Roy Sugarman (born January 4, 1939 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American film producer .

Life

At the beginning of his career, Sugarman produced exclusively for television. It was not until the mid-1980s that he was also involved in feature film productions. Sugarman's most successful work to date was the film God's Forgotten Children , for which he was nominated for his first Oscar in 1987 together with Patrick J. Palmer . Sugarman was married to Pauline Schur from October 17, 1957 to 1961 , with whom he has one child. He was married to Carol Wayne from December 28, 1975 until divorced on December 24, 1980 . This marriage remained childless. Sugarman has been married to Mary Hart since April 8, 1989 , with whom he has a son, Alec Jay ("AJ"), who was born on December 24, 1991. In the 1980s he was about to marry Ann-Margret .
