action

The successful, young and ambitious teacher James Leeds takes up a position as a teacher in a school for hearing impaired young people in Maine. The principal quickly made it clear to him that people at this school do not think very much of modern, unconventional methods, but he quickly became popular with the students. Here he meets the deaf Sarah, who is a former student of this school and now works here as a cleaning lady. He falls in love with the attractive, self-confident and dismissive young woman. Together they embark on a path full of challenges, frustrations and insights. Their struggle for independence and self-determination is contrary to his image of a relationship, but they still find their way.
