Butes (son of Pandion)

Butes ( Greek  Βούτης ), the son of Pandion and Zeuxippe , married Chthonia , the daughter of his brother Erechtheus . After the death of his father he became a priest of Athena and of the lawyer Poseidon .

He is the progenitor of the Attic noble family of the Butaden. He was later worshiped as an Attic hero in the Erechtheion on the Acropolis .
