Byggvir
Byggvir is an alb from Norse mythology . The only written evidence of Byggvir can be found in the Lokasenna of the Edda songs , where he is described, among other things, as Freyr's servant and Bejla's husband .
Bygg is the Old Norse word for barley , which is why it probably corresponds to the Beowa from the Anglo-Saxon religion .
Lokasenna
In the Lokasenna Loki expresses himself disparagingly about Byggvir:

Verse 44:

Verse 45:

Verse 46:

Based on Loki's statements in Lokasenna , it is assumed that Byggvir and Bejla are personifications of agriculture . To this Freyr said: Bejla is the manure that loosens the earth and makes the seeds grow, and Byggvir is the chaff that is produced when grinding grain.
